3/4" #9 Carbon Steel Expanded Metal Mesh Flat For Greenhouse
General Production Information
Production introduction
Expanded Metal Mesh is a type of sheet metal which is cut and stretched to form a regular pattern(often- diamond-shaped) of metal mesh-like material.
Ares Metal can produce variety of expanded metal sheets. Our Expanded products are available both in standard and flattened.
The variation of the standard expanded metal manufacturing process involves flattening the sheet by passing it through flattening rolls, a technique known as "cold rolling." During this process, the expanded sheet is elongated, usually by about five percent, after the expanded metal mesh has been flattened, the expanded sheet is then sent through a leveler to maintain its flatness.

Benefits of flattened expaned metal mesh
Flattened or cold-rolled expanded metal offers many of the advantages of standard expanded metal, such as versatility, a wide variety of opening sizes, low maintenance and cost-effectiveness. The fact that flattened expanded metal is typically about five percent lighter than standard expanded metal makes it suitable for applications that require a nimbler and more agile product that still offers the necessary strength and durability.
